The exotic pineapple jam

Strawberry and orange jams are some may say traditional. In my exploration of jams and bread machine possibilities, I have decided to venture out and prepare some more exotic jams.

As Costco had such a nice offer – 1 pineapple for $2,99 and the quality was truly excellent – I have decided to go with pineapple jam.

One could easily make 5-6 jars of jam from 1 pineapple. Taking into account that it is a homemade product with no preservative and cost of sugar, pectin and energy is quite low, the total cost is quite acceptable.

For comparison I have found this jam as an option:

The recipe as always was very simple and straightforward:

  • 2 cups of cut pineapple

  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 3 tbsp of pectin

Put everything together in bread maker and 1 hour later a great result!
